Earthbound transforms excavated soil into high-performing building materials. At the intersection of research, design, and production, we create circular products and components for a regenerative construction industry. Sustainable, healthy, and affordable.

Earth

Building material of the future

Image

Produced from local soils in a low energy process, our products are genuine alternatives for contemporary construction projects. Our earthen building materials combine a healthy indoor climate with high technical performance and economic feasibility. They are tested in accordance with applicable standards and can therefore be used without the need of special permits.

Innovation at Earthbound emerges where research meets practice. We develop new building materials and systems in collaboration with scientists and practitioners. Our solutions are tested, validated, and ready for use in real-world construction to deliver sustainable products that are scalable and affordable.

Project kick-off

Research project for earth blocks

Berlin, 15 January 2026

Image

In partnership with Bauhaus Earth, we are working on a two-year research project focused on earthen blocks with particularly high compressive strength. Funded by the City of Berlin through the MPI program, the project investigates the optimization of regional earthen building materials through additives, process parameters, and geometric form. The project kick-off took place on January 15, 2026, at the Bauhaus Erde research workshop.

A new practice

Enabling circular economy

Image

What is usually considered waste is a valuable resource for us. We develop materials that close material loops and conserve landscapes – including the reuse of construction and demolition waste as input materials and full deconstruction at the end of life cycle. With our products, construction becomes part of a functioning circular economy.
